At Mutlu SA, we offer a warranty period of up to 30 months on certain Mutlu branded batteries only.
The following is applicable to be considered for the 30 month period (subject to our standard rules, processes, terms and conditions):
The battery must be the correct size, amperage as specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
All Maxibat units (excluding units used for commercial purposes) come with a standard 24 months against manufacturing defects.
All Mutlu/Maxibat units used for commercial purposes come with a standard 12 months guarantee (671,674,683,689,688, etc.).
Please note: once a lead acid unit has been connected on an inverter installation, the guarantee will automatically be nullified.
ACTIONS THAT VOIDS THE WARRANTY OF THE BATTERY Any physical condition that indicates the battery was abused, will void the guarantee/warranty of the battery, including but not limited to: 1. Removal of the stickers, especially those covering the cell caps. 2. Damage to the posts, e.g. knocking marks, terminals being overtightened and bending of the posts. 3. Shorting of the battery and visible arcing marks. 4. Swelling or cracking of the battery casing. 5. A malfunction in the vehicle's electrical system, causing an excessive parasitic draw. 6. Alternator malfunction, under/overcharging. 7. Loss of electrolyte (battery water) due to malfunctioning alternator. 8. Use of the battery for a purpose other than that of a motor vehicle as per the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
THE WARRANTY PROCEDURE 1. The battery must be returned to the original place of purchase (supplier where the battery was bought), together with the proof of purchase. 2. The battery will be collected and tested by our head office. If the battery is found to be not faulty, the battery will be returned to the supplier where the battery was purchased. If the battery is found to be faulty, it will be replaced or a credit to the supplier where the battery was bought. This procedure usually take a period of 2 to 3 working days, from the date that we received the battery at our premises.
